The K-Pop Superfest 2021 served a JAM-Packed Day online, live from the famous Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul, last June 20, 2021!
The virtual event was brought to us by Sessions, in collaboration with Joy Ruckus Club. As exciting as their lineup sounded, the 14 Artists definitely did not disappoint with their stunning performances and breathtaking music! Also, the hosts, AleXa and The Boyz’s Kevin made the festival even more enjoyable with their charming personalities!

AleXa opens the show with a powerful start, performing one of her representative songs, “Revolution.” Her energetic performance made us feel like we were dancing again, back in a packed concert hall, even through the screen of the virtual concert.

Next up was Woo!Ah!, the adorable 5 member girl group came on stage in cute sparkly outfits. They first put on a cat-like performance with “Bad Girl”, followed by “Scaredy Cat”, one of their soft mellow tracks. Then they wrapped up their stage with their most recent and catchiest comeback yet, “Purple”. The rookie group surely charmed us with their lovely performances.

GWSN then captivated us on the next stage with their most recent comeback, “Like It Hot”. Following that, the group also performed one of their fan favorite b-side ballad tracks, “Starry Night”. Then they ended with “All Mine” which was a perfect song for this summer!

Afterwards, Lovelyz filled the concert hall with their sweet vocals and mesmerizing stage as they performed their latest single, “Obliviate”. They also performed some of their cute and fresh songs such as “That Day” and “Now, We”, “Rewind” and “Hi”. Saving the best for last, the group closed their performance with their iconic hit song, “Ah-Choo”!

Golden Child was the first male artist to take the stage. Dressed in white navy suits, they first performed their catchy hit song, “Wannabe”. Then they continued on with some of their emotional title tracks, “Without You” and “One ( Lucid Dream )”. Afterwards, they performed “Compass” and “Milky Way”, which both showcased their mellow vocals. Until their last performance with “Burn It”, the group had absolutely burned the stage!

Following them was the rising 9 member boy group, Cravity, starting off with their energetic song, “Jumper”. They also sang “Stay” and “Sunrise,” which showed off their softer, and more romantic side, in contrast to their usual edgy and charismatic image. The group ended their stages with one of their fan favorite b-side tracks, “Mammoth” and their latest comeback, “My Turn”.

Momoland came next on stage, all out in girl crush outfits. They kicked off their first performance with their most recent title track, “Ready Or Not”. Then followed, “Pinky Love”, which featured their sweet vocals and cute choreography. Making us dance along until their last stage, they performed 3 of their hit songs back-to-back, starting from “Thumbs Up”, “Baam”, and last but absolutely not the least, their most iconic hit song, “Bboom Bboom”!

They continued on with “Stay Young”, and “Shining Stars”, which both reflected the group’s positive aura. Following that, they also performed “Lululala” and “Close”, showcasing their energetic and bubbly side. Lastly, they sweetly ended their performance with their heartwarming ballad, “Heaven.”

The Boyz, being the final K-Pop group to perform, also known for their eye-catching visuals and unconventional stages, they surely went all out for this event. They kicked things off with “Reveal,” followed by “Scar,” one of their most fascinating b-side tracks. Then they couldn’t leave just yet without performing their hit representative song, “The Stealer”!

Gracing the next stage was the Legendary Vocal Queen, Ailee! The soloist brought nostalgia as she first sang one of her earlier popular songs, “U&I”. Her powerhouse vocals continued to melt our ears with “Make Up Your Mind”. Before performing her next song, “I Will Go To You Like The First Snow”, Ailee expressed that the song meant a lot to her. Not only because it was her most popular soundtrack, but because it reminded the soloist of her mom, who recently passed away last February 2021. She felt that the lyrics of the song would be something that her mom would say to her. She then closes her stage with her most awaited and crowd fav hit songs, “I Will Show You”! This vocal queen effortlessly slayed her performances ‘till her last note!

Bloo, 1 of the K-Hip Hop Scene representatives of the show, steps onto the next stage, opening with “Ssagagi ( So Rude )”. The rapper then continued on his performances back to back with “Nae Tat”, “Hennesy”, “Drive Thru”, “Drama”, “Come and Kiss Me”, “I’m The One”, and ending with his most popular song, “Downtown Baby”! His dope performances and music definitely showcased how American Hip Hop greatly influenced his songs as well.

With bursting confidence and a powerful presence, Jessi takes the next stage, beginning her performance with “Who Dat B”! Even without having her back-up dancers for the show, that didn’t stop the Queen Rapper from slaying her next performances of “Ssennuni”, “Gucci”, and her most recent title track, “What Type of X”! For her last song, “Nunu Nana”, Jessi expressed that she wished that she had someone to dance this iconic song with. So she hilariously called for AleXa and Kevin to dance along with her throughout the performance. As the hosts’ senior, Jessi totally taught them to have fun and just enjoy the performance!

Rain, the most awaited Legendary K-Pop King and Idol of Idols, finally takes the next stage, killing it with “Why Don’t We”! Next up he performed one of his emotional title tracks, “How To Avoid The Sun”, followed by “I Do” and “Love Story”, where he charmed us with his romantic and sweet vocals. He then closed his stages with 2 of his legendary title tracks, loved by idols of different generations and K-pop fans of all ages, “It’s Raining” and “Hip Song”! His performances definitely proved that this king can still kill it with those sharp dance moves!

Lastly, closing the music festival with a “BANG”, was the gorgeous DJ Soda! We couldn’t help but dance along to the beat of her captivating DJ Setlist! She included some popular Western tracks in her set, such as “Lose Control” by Meduza, Beck Hill, and Goodboys, “You Little Beauty” by Fisher, “Milkshake” by Kelis, and “Disturbia” by Rihanna. The DJ also had something special for us in store, featuring her collaboration with Lost Chameleon and Momoland’s Ahin!
